An Open Letter to my 10+Year Followers

If you’ve been following me on this blog for any amount of time, you are probably thinking, “What the heck? I forget I was even subscribed to this person. What do they do anyway?”

Let me reintroduce myself, to any of you who are confused or bemused:

I go by S.L. Funk and I’m a writer, aspiring author, and most recently, Twitch streamer.

I’ve kept this blog, more or less, since 2011/2012 and post a poem or rant every few years or so.

You probably followed me back when I waxed poetic about life, faith, and even tried to write about writing.

Well, I figured that this final face-lift is just the necessary step in getting my work seen.

From now on, slfunkwrites.com will look a lot different and will feature news about my incipient career in writing fiction. I have a short story, “The Accordion Train” that I want to make available to any of you who stay subscribed and are interested in a little scary content.

My first novella, titled, “The Monster I Feed,” is in the editing process and I hope to start an official indie launch for a September 2022 release.
