When will “The Monster I Feed” be published?

Here’s a quick update on the book and its release schedule.

It’s been a struggle and I completely understand why many authors still submit to publishers and play the writing lottery by trying to get attention the old-fashioned way. Self-publishing is no joke and will break you if you don’t pace yourself and be realistic.

Here’s a video with more of an elaborate explanation on where the process has left me this Autumn. Esselle (my vtuber persona, which is really just me) explains my mental struggles and the reality of how the process of self-publishing is a roller coaster and how I’m trying to learn from my mistakes.

This book will come out when it is ready, not necessarily when I want it to. We must take care of ourselves, even when things don’t work out the way we thought they would. Don’t give up, make adjustments, and do the work at a healthy pace.

Despite the hiccups and roadblocks and bumps, I intend to have a great Halloween with family and friends and get my spooky season on. Everyone, have a fantastic Spooky Season and stay creative!
